Our artist of the week is Chris Kuchta, from Lafayette, Indiana. His current projects include a series of movie monster paintings and prints, concept illustration for film and animation, story-boarding and a comic graphic novel entitled Escalation. This is one of my personal favourites, Hammer’s Frankenstein’s Monster though other icons like Freddy Krueger, Dr. Phibes and The Phantom of the Opera can be found in his gallery.
It’s been a week of teaser poster releases, with the artwork being unveiled for Sinister, House at the End of the Street, Go Go Girls vs. The Nazis, the Silent Night, Bloody Night remake and Carnieville. I’d urge you not to check out that last one if you’re slightly phobic of clowns.
We got a little bit of information about the sequel to The Last Exorcism. Apparently it’s going to be called Beginning of the End – The Last Exorcism II. That uh…mouthful would suggest that it wasn’t the ‘last’ exorcism at all.
Some interesting found footage style new clips were put out for the upcoming ‘Lovely Molly’ They’re pretty eerie, but let us know your thoughts on this current trend for found footage.
Did you know the rollercoaster used in Final Destination 3 is the Corkscrew at Playland in Vancouver, Canada. The actors had to ride the Corkscrew 26 times in order to film the premonition scene.
